WHO we are & WHY we do it: In these times of great need, joy can be found in personal sacrifice. Happiness and liberation maintained in a person's commitment to fight for what they know is just. Call To Fire Inc. is a New York based not-for-profit organization founded by firefighter, Xavier L. Rozas to promoted community action and awareness on the local and global levels. Working in conjunction with The Gear-Up foundation, a comprehensive two-part campaign has been developed to extend our desire to serve the greater community.

In the spirit of mutual assistance, the team has put together an overall operations package to collect fire-fighting equipment that has been set aside due to regulatory changes and to redistribute this equipment in both the United States and Latin American countries in need.. As a show of our commitment to this mission, a comprehensive training program has also been developed to train the personnel on the proper and effective use of the rescue equipment provided and the advanced technical rescue operations they are now outfitted for.

The second part of the campaign is a media-rich exercise designed to directly engage local communities in an effort to build awareness of the larger global community. As Mr. Rozas' travels progress through Mexico, Central and South America en route to Tierra Del Fuego, participating grade schools will be participating in Q&A sessions, up-to-the-minute on-line dialogues, be able to view images of foreign cultures, and perhaps take away a heightened sense of the world we all share. Using a newly developed Internet web-logging system, the distance that separates 'us' from 'them' will be bridged allowing for a cultural exchange of ideas, history, art and most importantly respect and appreciation for diverse world.
